#PrimeMinister of #Finland becomes tearful in an #emotional #speech after she issued an #apology addressing a picture that emerged of two influencers posing naked in her official residence #SannaMarin #party
"It's private, it's joyful, and it's life, but I haven't missed a single day of work.
"I haven't missed a single work assignment and I never will."
The 36-year-old admitted the past week had been "difficult".
"This week has not been easy, it has been difficult. But I want to believe that people look at the work we do, not what we do in our free time," she said.
Ms Marin's tearful defence comes after she issued an apology for a photo showing two topless influencers kissing at a private party in her office.
The snap, which showed two women kissing holding a sign reading "Finland" covering their breasts, was taken at the Prime Minister’s residence in Helsinki in July.
The picture was posted on a TikTok account held by Sabina Sarkka, a former Miss Finland contest and social media influencer, who appears in the provocative picture.
Ms Marin - who was not featured in the picture - said the group had attended a musical festival beforehand and returned to her residence where they "had a sauna, swam and spent time together".
“In my opinion, the picture is not appropriate,” she told reporters on Tuesday.
“I apologise for it. That kind of a picture should not have been taken but otherwise, nothing extraordinary happened at the get-together.”
It comes days after leaked videos showed Ms Marin partying with friends.
In one clip, she was seen dancing intimately with a man, believed to be Finnish singer Olavi Uusivirta, at Klubi nightclub the nation's capital on August 7.
In other vision, Ms Marin - who was wearing white jeans and a black lace camisole - was captured dancing wildly with a group of women.

Ms Marin issued an apology and subsequently underwent a drug test after allegations the leader was under the influence of illicit drugs.
The PM's special advisor Iida Vallin told AFP a urine sample was tested for the presence of various drugs, including cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis and opioids, which came back clean.
Ms Marin said she was upset that videos of her dancing at private parties were published online and insisted she did nothing wrong.
"I did nothing illegal," she told reporters in a press conference on Friday. "Never in my life, not even in my youth, have I ever used any drugs.
"I have a family life, I have a work life and I have free time to spend with my friends. Pretty much the same as many people my age. I am going to be exactly the same person as I have been until now and I hope that it will be accepted."
