Though his six-season run as family patriarch Jack Pearson on the NBC hit series “This is Us” has come to an end, Milo Ventimiglia’s real estate activity is on the upswing. Records show the prolific actor, director and producer has just doled out nearly $4.4 million for a modern ocean-view ranch house in the far reaches of Malibu, adding to a property portfolio that already includes two Los Angeles homes and a place in Oregon.
Tucked away in a private neighborhood with no through streets — on a prime south-facing blufftop parcel that spans over a quarter-acre, and offers picturesque coastline, mountain and city lights views — the residence is referred to in the listing as “a hidden gem.” Originally built in 1965, but updated through the years, the single-story stucco and wood-accented structure features three bedrooms and three baths in 2,462 square feet of all-white living space boasting tile floors, sky-lit ceilings and expansive glass sliding doors throughout.
Highlights include an open-concept great room sporting a fireside living room that opens to the backyard, plus a dining area that connects to a kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island and stainless appliances. In addition, an oversized master suite comes complete with a sitting area, walk-in closet, and luxe bath equipped with a large oval spa tub and steam sauna.
Outdoors, the inviting backyard hosts a freeform pool wrapped by a sundeck, along with a fire-pit lounge area. There’s also a freestanding studio space and plenty of room to barbecue in the grassy side yard, and a tree-shaded courtyard out front.
The 45-year-old Anaheim native first appeared on the screen in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” in 1995 and went on to star in the short-lived series “Opposite Sex.” But his big break came the following year when he was cast as Jess Mariano in “Gilmore Girls.” He’s also appeared as Sylvester Stallone’s son in “Rocky Balboa” and “Creed II,” as well as “Heroes,” “The Art of Racing in the Rain” and “Devil’s Gate.”
As a cast member of “This is Us” from 2016-’22, Ventimiglia received three Emmy nominations for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.”
The listing was held by Dustin Hall of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties; Jack Turturici Jr. of Douglas Elliman repped the buyer.
