Most luxury homes are located in the Lisbon and Algarve regions and cost more than €10 million, according to a study by idealista.

Idealista has compiled a list of the most expensive luxury homes for sale in Portugal.
At the top of the list is a luxury villa in Albufeira overlooking the sea. It is set within a plot of 5,289 square metres (m2) and has 407 m2 built area. On the market for €24,500,000.
2. Modern villa with sea views in Quinta da Marinha, Cascais
This villa has a large outdoor space with swimming pool and spacious areas, 4 suites, laundry, living room, office, equipped kitchen, pantry, dressing room, changing room and garage for 4 cars. Priced at €16 million.
3. Villa in Quinta Patino, Cascais
With a plot of 4,950 m2 and a construction area of 1,322 m2, this contemporary villa, has an elevator, gym, sauna, Turkish bath, indoor pool, wine cellar and garage for 8 cars. It also has an apartment with independent access. On sale for €14,750,000
4. Quinta do Lago mansion, Algarve
This modern house has 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. It has a rooftop with a fully equipped bar, and all floors are accessible by elevator. It also has a cinema room, sauna, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and landscaped gardens. Priced at €14,750,000.
5. Villa with views in Quinta do Lago, Algarve
This property is situated in a unique location, with uninterrupted views over the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, lakes and the sea. The living area has direct access to the covered terrace, pool and garden. The outside area of this house has terraces, a swimming pool and a garden that extends to the lake. The price of this luxury home is €14,500,000.
According to idealista, in addition to Faro and Lisbon, there are houses for sale above 5 million euros in other districts of the country, such as Santarém and Setúbal. The most expensive houses for sale in the districts of Madeira, Leiria, Portalegre, Porto, Beja and Braga cost between €3 million and €4.99 million. And the most expensive luxury homes on the market in Viseu and Aveiro cost 2.5 million euros.
